Welcome to
The River Nest Bed & Breakfast website. Located just 1 mile upriver
from Wabasha, Minnesota, we are situated right on the river in
beautiful
Reads Landing. We are Carol &
Bill Dunn, your hosts at The River Nest. We built this extraordinary
place in 2004 as our home and your getaway. The building is shown at
left (your back would be to the river). The two suites are on the
right of this picture, one above the other. Both afford stunning views
of the river, exceptionally privacy, and are available by the day or
week.
This area appeals to all pastimes -
from shopping to hiking to kayaking to relaxing with a good book, the
Mississippi Valley has it all. For a scenic vacation, a romantic
weekend or sporting getaways, The River Nest offers the accommodations
to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. Winter or summer, the area
offers the best in Minnesota and Wisconsin vacations. |

We are located right on the Mississippi River, just down from Lake
Pepin. Wabasha
(home of the
National
Eagle Center) is a mile away, with
Lake City just
10 miles,
Pepin, Wisconsin (home of Laura Ingalls Wilder) is 15,
Red Wing &
Winona both
35. The entire trip around the lake by car is 86 miles, very easily
done in an afternoon. Our suites have jacuzzi tubs and a
sitting area up front, separated from the bedroom area by a fireplace,
with large bathrooms with walk in showers in the back. The beds are
queen, internet is free, cable and DVD are included, and the upper
suite is wheelchair friendly. The building is "green" with geothermal
heating and cooling. We serve a full breakfast to our guests...you
won't leave our place hungry!
